Connecting the AC adapter to t he port replicator

► Connect the AC cable to the AC adapter (1).
► Plug the AC cable into the power outlet (2).
► Connect the AC ad apter cable to the DC
jack (DC IN) of the port replicator (3).
When the notebook is connected to a port replicator, the operating system creates
a hardware profile for the "Docked" mode. In this profile, for example, th e monitor
which was last used for output is saved as a setting. This profile will be loaded as
soon as the notebook is connected to a po rt replicator of the same type.

► Press the ON/OFF button on the port
replicator to switch on the notebook.
