Connecting external devices
Under all c ircumsta nce s, please observe the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Pag e 14 chapter before connecting or disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the documentation supplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always grasp the plug.
With some device s, such as USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Tablet PC and the device before connecting/disconnecting. For m ore
information about whether or not devices need to be switched off, please refer
to the documentation supplied with yo ur external device.
Some of the external devices require s pecial drivers (see the operating
system and external device documentation).
Connecting an external monitor
Micro HDMI port
HDMIport
The micro HDMI port on your device can be used to connect an external amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.
► Connect the data cable to the
external device.
► Connect the data cable to the micro
HDMI port.
Some LCD televisions have on ly two speakers/speaker ports and therefore
cannot reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. To play back HDMI sound, you
must cha nge the HDMI sound setting s accordingly.
You can find the settings under Control Panel - Hardware and Sound. Deactivate the
settings for DTS Audio and Dolby Digital to enable playback of HDMI sound.
