Preparation:
Be sure to set the clock before programming a Timer
Recording. Refer to “Clock Setting” on page 64.
Check that the recording media has enough recordable
space for the time you set.
Insert a recordable disc if you are recording to a disc.
1 In stop mode, press [TIMER PROG.].
“Timer Programming” list will appear.
2 Select “New Programme” using [K \ L], then
press [ENTER\OK].
“Timer Programming” list pages can be switched using
[Red] (page up) or [Green] (page down).
3 Select an item to set using [s \ B], and set the
contents to suit your preference using [K \ L].
Press [B] to proceed to the next item to set.
4 After setting all items, press [ENTER\OK].
The icon will appear on the front panel display.
-To exit, press [TIMER PROG.].
Note
If there are more than one programme, the recording time of
the programmes other than the one being edited currently
will not be counted in the calculation of the total remaining
time on the disc.
- When 2 or more programmes are overlapped, “Timer
programme overlapped.” appears, and the overlapped
programme will be displayed in blue. To correct the timer
programme, refer to “Checking, Cancelling or Correcting
the Timer Programming Information” on page 32.
Alternate recording (Blu-ray Disc™ only)...
If there is no recordable disc in the unit, if the disc does not
have enough space to complete the recording, or if the
material is “copy-once” programme and prohibited to be
recorded on a Blu-ray Disc™ in the unit, the unit will detect it
and automatically record to the HDD even when Blu-ray
Disc™ is selected as the recording media. If the available
space on the HDD is less than that of Blu-ray Disc™, the unit
will not perform the alternate recording. This feature is
available only for timer recording. Not available for one-touch
timer recording.
1 Press [TIMER PROG.].
“Timer Programming” list will appear.
2 Select the desired programme, then press
[ENTER\OK].
3 Select the desired item, then press
[ENTER\OK].
“Programme Change”: Lets you edit the timer
programme.
“Delete”: Lets you delete the timer
programme.
“Information”: Displays the information of the
programme entered using EPG.
4 Press [TIMER PROG.] to exit.
To check the timer programming in progress
Press [TIMER PROG.].
Note
Timer programming information of the timer programme in
progress cannot be edited.
You can deactivate the periodical (Daily, Mon-Fri or Weekly)
timer recording temporarily.
1 In stop mode, press [TIMER PROG.].
2 Select the desired periodical timer recording
programme, then press [Yellow] to set the skip
setting on/off.
•“” will appear when the skip setting is set.
3 Press [RETURN\BACK] to exit.
The setting will go back to “Off” after the programme is
skipped once.
Refer to “Timer Recording” on page 31.
1 Press [STOP C].
2 Select “Yes” using [K \ L], then press
[ENTER\OK].
Recording can also be stopped by pressing [STOP C] twice.
