6. Click [Add user] button.
7. Referring to the following table, set up the user for using the WAN connection.
Input the IP address of the network equipment to enable data communication. If
an IP address of an IP Handset is not registered as "User" here, "No permission"
appears on the main screen of the IP Handset. If an IP address of a PC is not reg-
istered as "User" here, "No permission" appears on the [Dashboard] screen of the
Web interface.
When clicking the [Save] button, the user is added to the user list as follows:
Item Description
Connection Type Shows the registered connection type.
Group Name Shows the registered group name.
User List
Add user button Create a new user. Up to 20 users can be created.
Delete button Delete the item having a checkmark [9].
Put a [9] in the box on the left side of the item to delete.
IP Address Shows the IP address of the registered user.
Prev button Return to the previous step while keeping the setting information.
Finish button Register the setting information, then go to the [Group] menu.
Item Description
User Input, or change IP address.
It must be different from IP address of Communication Unit, 127.0.0.1
and 255.255.255.255.
Note: The same IP address cannot be registered to the different
groups. “192.168.0.*” and “192.168.0.10” can be registered. * is a wild-
card. If you registered two groups this way, the group having the nar-
rowest range (192.168.0.10) has priority.
Save button Save the setting information.
Cancel button Cancel the setting information.
