5. Input a name of a party, then press the Enter key.
You can use a maximum of 20 characters. For how to input the name, see
section 1.5.2.
6. Press S or T to select the [Number] field, then press the Enter key.
7. Input a phone number, then press the Enter key.
You can use a maximum of 28 numbers. The available characters are numerics,
*, +, and . (period). For how to input the number, see section 1.5.2.
8. Press S or T to select the [Speed Dial] field, then press the Enter key.
9. Input a speed dial number* if required, then press the Enter key.
Speed dial numbers can range from 10 to 200.
For how to input the number, see section 1.5.2.
*: Once registered, speed dial numbers allow you to dial a number using an ab-
breviated number. This feature is handy when assigned to regularly used num-
bers.
10. Press T to select [Add], then press the Enter key.
The message "Wait response..." and "Applied." appear, then the contact is saved
in the Communication Unit.
11. Press the key to go back to the main screen.
2.2.2 How to search for a contact
This section explains how to search for a contact from the [Contacts] list.
1. Press the key to open the [Contacts] list.
2. Press the key to open the sub-menu.
3. Press S or T to select the [Search] menu, then press the Enter key.
4. With the [Input Name or Number.] field selected, press the Enter key.
5. Input a part of a name (or phone number), then press the Enter key.
