Cannot make external
call.
Check telephone number.
Land subscriber: [00], country code, tel. no.
Ship subscriber: [00], [870], (ocean area code), Inmarsat no.
Check if the IP Handset cable is properly connected to the Communica-
tion Unit.
Check if the IP Handset screen shows the green icon on the status
bar.
Wait a while, and retry.
In the Web interface, click [Admin] o [Telephony Settings] o [Phone
List] to confirm that "9" appears in the [Ext. Call] field.
Check if the [Caller code] and [Call Filter] field for the IP Handset (or
phone) of [Admin] o [Telephony Settings] o [Phone List] does not have
"9".
Cannot make internal
call.
Check that the IP Handset and/or analog phone cables are properly con-
nected to the Communication Unit.
Access the Web interface, and click [Admin] o [Telephony Settings] o
[Phone List] to confirm the [Ready] field for the IP Handset appears the
blue icon .
Cannot use the inter-
net.
Access the Web interface from the PC you want to use for internet acess
and check that the Dashboard shows "Connected" in the [Data] field.
Check internet connection settings on the PC.
Check the TCP/IP settings for the PC are correct.
Access the Web interface, and click [Home] o [WAN User List] to confirm
that the PC (IP address) using the Internet is registered in the WAN
group.
Access the Web interface, and click [Admin] o [Network Settings] o
[WAN] o [Groups] to confirm that "Firewall", "DNS Filter", and "IP Filter"
are set correctly.
The printing of the fax
is wavy.
Put anti-vibration material under the fax to reduce the vibration.
Takes lot of time to
communicate with
fax.
Activate the safety communication mode on FAX-2840, referring to the op-
erator’s manual of the fax.
