North American Options
The FM trafc subscriptions that you
have are listed and the expiration dates.
Touch Add to add a subscription.
Non-North American Options
Auto—select which provider to use.
Select Auto to use the best provider for
the area, or select a specic provider to
use always.
Search—search for additional TMC
trafc providers. To increase the search
time, touch Yes to clear provider table.
Subscriptions—view the FM trafc
subscriptions that you have and the
expiration dates. Touch Add to add a
subscription.
Adding a Subscription
You can purchase additional
subscriptions or a renewal if your
subscription expires; go to Garmin’s
FM Trafc Web site at www.garmin.
com/fmtrafc.

NOTE: You do not need to
activate the subscription included
with your FM trafc receiver (if it
came with one). The subscription
activates automatically after your
nüvi acquires satellite signals
while receiving trafc signals
from the service provider.
1. From the Menu page, touch Tools
> Settings > Trafc.
2. For Non-North American units,
touch Subscriptions > Add. For
North American units, touch Add.
3. Write down the FM trafc
receiver’s unit ID.
4. Go to www.garmin.com/fmtrafc to
purchase a subscription and get a
25-character code.
5. After you receive the 25-character
code, touch Next on the nüvi,
enter the code, and touch Done.
The trafc subscription code cannot be
reused. You must obtain a new code each
time you renew your service. If you own
