Porcelain Oven Interior (on standard-clean models)
With propercare,the porcelainenamelfinish on
the insideof the oven-top, bottom, sides,back
and insideof the door-will stay new-lookingfor
years.
Letthe oven cool before cleaning.We recommend
that you wear rubbergloveswhen cleaningthe
oven.
Soapandwater will normallydo thejob. Heavy
spatteringor spilloversmay requirecleaningwith
a mildabrasivecleaner.Soap-filledscouringpads
may alsobe used.
Donot allowfoodspillswith a high sugar or acid
content(suchastomatoes, sauerkraut,fruitjuices
or piefilling)to remain on the surface.Theymay
causea dull spotevenafter cleaning.
Householdammonia may make the cleaningjob
easier.Place:]./2cup in ashallow glassor pottery
container ina coldovenovernight.Theammonia
fumeswillhelp loosenthe burned-on greaseand
food.
If necessary,you may usean ovencleaner.Follow

Coil cooktop models:
Oven Vent on Radiant Glass or Coil Cooktops
On glasscooktop models,the ovenvent is
located behind the right-rear surface unit.
On coilcooktop models,the oven isvented
through an opening under one of the rear
surface units.
It isnormal for steam to come out of the vent,
and moisture may collect underneath it when
the oven isin use.
Thevent is important for proper air circulation.
Never block this vent.
This area could become hot during oven use.

Thegasket isdesigned with agap
at the bottom to allow for proper air
circulation.
Donot rub or cleanthe door gasket-it
has anextremely low resistance to
abrasion.
Ifyou notice the gasket becoming
worn,frayed or damaged in any way
or if it has becomedisplaced on the
door,you should haveit replaced.

Cleaning the Oven Door
Toclean the inside of the door:
On self-cleanmodels.
;, Becausethe area insidethe gasket is
cleaned during the self-clean cycle,you do
not need to clean this by hand.
Thearea outside the gasket and the door
liner can be cleaned with a soap-filled
or plastic scouring pad, hotwater and
detergent. Rinsewell with a vinegar and
water solution.
On standard-clean models.
Soap and water will normally work. Heavy
spattering or spillovers may require cleaning
with a mild abrasive cleaner.Soap-filled
scouring pads may also be used.

To clean the outside of the door'.

Usesoap and water to thoroughly clean the
top, sidesand front of the oven door. Rinse
well. Youmay also use a glass cleanerto
clean the glass on the outside of the door. Do
not letwater drip into the vent openings.
Ifany stain on the door vent trim is
persistent,usea soft abrasive cleaner and a
sponge-scrubber for best results.
Spillageof marinades,fruit juices, tomato
sauces and basting materials containing
acids may cause discoloration and should be
wiped up immediately. When surface is cool,
clean and rinse.
Donot useoven cleaners,cleaning powders
or harsh abrasives on the outside of the
door.
