• PS is the PERIPHERAL STATUS WORD. PS normally = 0.
• UPS is the UNEXPECTED PERIPHERAL STATUS WORD. (If two words are returned from the
peripheral device to the PPI, the PS is the first word and the UPS is the second word.) UPS normally =
0.
• ES is the PPI ERROR STATUS. (DIR T13 M.EM under sub-routine “ZRERR$2.IR” for various error
status conditions. ES normally = 1.
• IER is the peripheral error response. IER = 1 indicates the software found no peripheral errors. IER
normally = 1.
As stated above, and MGERR error indicates a TGGC reported error condition and Direction 18005 must be
consulted.
