13 Write Lock The tape on the selected transport is write-protected.
14 Odd Character The record just read or written contains an odd number of bytes.

2. Diagnostic programs for the 6026 Mag Tape Drive are the reliability (6026 RELI) and diagnostic (6026
DIAG) programs. The reliability program runs the tape drive under worst-case conditions to force any
marginal errors to occur. The diagnostic tests for errors in a manner that helps to identify the cause of
the error.
Abstracts and operating instructions for these programs may be found in the DTOS Manual Volume #1,
Part 4. The normal use of the reliability program is described in Chapter 4 - Functional Checks in the CT
9800 Quick System Manual (Direction 18000).
