Do not latch the oven door during broiling. The latch is used for self-cleaning only.
Leave the door open to the broil
stop position. Thedoor stays open
by itself, yet the proper temperature
is maintained in the oven.
How to Set the Oven for Broiling
[_] Place the meat or fish on a broiler
grid in a broiler pan designed
for broiling.
[_ Follow suggested shelf positions in
the Broiling Guide.
If yourrangeisconnectedto208volts,rare
steaksmaybebroiledbypreheatingthebroiler
andpositioningtheovenshelfoneposition
higher.
Use LoBroil to cook foods such _ts
poultry or thick cuts of meat thoroughly
without over-browning them.
[_ Touch the BroilHi/Lopad once for
Hi Broil.
To change to LoBroil,touch the
BroilHi/Lopad again.
_] Touch the Start pad.
[] X_qlen broiling is finished, touch the
Clear/Off pad.
The size, weight, thickness,
starting temperature
and your preference
of doneness will aft>ct
broiling times. This guide
is based on meats at
refrigerator temperature.
