What to do if my Geotech G110 calibration failed?

If the calibration failed, check that the span target is set to the correct value. If it is not, correct it and retry spanning the channel. Repeat the entire procedure, including zeroing the channel, and then calibrate the span. Also, make sure the reading is stable before spanning the channel.

Why does my Geotech Measuring Instruments show 'User Zero failed'?
    • A

The 'User Zero failed' error may occur because the instrument is trying to zero to a level outside the predetermined range set during factory calibration. Another possible cause is that the gas being measured is not stable, either because it is still flushing or because the ambient air/gas concentration is varying. First, make sure the unit contains absolutely none of the gas which is being zeroed by flushing thoroughly with nitrogen. If it will not zero, then refer to the instructions given in the ‘Factory Settings’ section. If the instrument continues to fail to zero then the unit must be returned to the manufacturer for investigation.
