Special Conditions for Safe Use
Ambient temperature range: -21 °C to +63 °C
The device must be protected against UV irradiation that exceeds the
usual level of sunlight as well as against mechanical effects that lead to
recognizable damage.
The impact test according to IEC 60079-0 was performed with reduced
height.
The connection interfaces shall never be used in hazardous areas.
The battery shall never be changed, charged or removed in hazardous areas.
The device shall never be used next to strong charge generating processes.
Use only replaceable battery pack (Getac - BP3S2P2100S-01 or

Protective Covers
Most screws and guiding pins on the exterior of UX10-Ex are protected
by small covers. These covers must remain intact, not to be removed.
All covers must be completely closed in potentially explosive atmospheres.
A small plastic piece between the two left-side I/O covers prevents the I/O
covers from being opened. Keep this piece secured with two screws (as
shown below). While not in an Ex-hazardous area, you can temporarily
remove this piece in order to open a left-side I/O cover.
