Overview

The Danalogic Ambio is a series of Receiver-In-Ear (RIE) hearing aids designed to improve hearing for individuals with hearing impairment. The device incorporates sound technology and design, with customizable programming by hearing care professionals to enhance the user's auditory experience. It is a wearable sound-amplifying device intended to compensate for impaired hearing, amplifying and transferring sound to the eardrum of a hearing-impaired person. The device is available in models 61 and 62, with variations in receiver power (Medium, High, Ultra Power) and tube lengths (0, 1, 2, 3, 4). Different dome types are available for fitting, including Open, Tulip, Small, Medium, Large, and Closed domes, as well as RIE moulds.

Function Description:

The Danalogic Ambio hearing aids are designed to receive, amplify, and transfer sound to the eardrum. They feature a push button (model 61) or multi-button (model 62) for controlling various functions, a battery door that also serves as an On/Off switch, a receiver, receiver tube, and microphones. The model 62 also includes a battery door lock and an L/R indicator. The devices are equipped with a Tinnitus Sound Generator (TSG) module, which generates a white noise signal to help manage tinnitus. This module can be configured to provide a decrease in the sound generator output level to prevent unintended usage by pediatric or mentally challenged users. The TSG functionality can be enhanced with wireless control from a TSG control app on a smartphone or mobile device.

Important Technical Specifications:

The hearing aids are digital and utilize audio signal technology. The Tinnitus Sound Generator offers a white noise signal that can be modulated in amplitude with an attenuation depth of up to 14dB. Available sound configurations include high-pass filters at 500 Hz, 750 Hz, 1,000 Hz, 1,500 Hz, and 2,000 Hz, and low-pass filters at 2,000 Hz, 3,000 Hz, 4,000 Hz, 5,000 Hz, and 6,000 Hz. The nominal RF output power transmitted is 0 dBm. The device operates in the frequency range of 2.4 GHz - 2.48 GHz.

  • Insertion and Removal: Users are advised to turn off the hearing aids before inserting or removing them. Earmoulds are inserted by positioning the sound outlet in the ear canal, sliding it in with a gentle twisting movement, and ensuring it sits firmly behind the ear. • Domes: Standard and tulip domes can be mounted on the receiver. Users are advised to seek professional guidance for dome replacement to avoid improper fitting.
  • Battery Door Lock: The battery door can be locked to prevent accidental dropping, especially beneficial for children and mentally disabled persons. A tool is used to lock and unlock the battery door.
  • Smartphone Apps: The hearing aids can be controlled wirelessly via smartphone apps, which allow for adjustments to the tinnitus sound generator and other settings. Users are advised to keep app notifications enabled and install updates.

Maintenance Features:
