•Readandunderstandthe󰘱uidmanufacturer’swarningsandSafetyDataSheet(SDS)toknowspeci󰘰c
hazardsandprecautionsrelatedtoisocyanates.
•Useofisocyanatesinvolvespotentiallyhazardousprocedures.Donotspraywiththisequipmentunless
youaretrained,quali󰘰ed,andhavereadandunderstoodtheinformationinthismanualandinthe󰘱uid
manufacturer’sapplicationinstructionsandSDS.
•Useofincorrectlymaintainedormis-adjustedequipmentmayresultinimproperlycuredmaterial,which
couldcauseoffgassingandoffensiveodors.Equipmentmustbecarefullymaintainedandadjusted
accordingtoinstructionsinthemanual.
•Topreventinhalationofisocyanatemists,vaporsandatomizedparticulates,everyoneinthework
areamustwearappropriaterespiratoryprotection.Alwayswearaproperly󰘰ttingrespirator,which
mayincludeasupplied-airrespirator.Ventilatetheworkareaaccordingtoinstructionsinthe󰘱uid
manufacturer’sSDS.
•Avoidallskincontactwithisocyanates.Everyoneintheworkareamustwearchemicallyimpermeable
gloves,protectiveclothingandfootcoveringsasrecommendedbythe󰘱uidmanufacturerandlocal
regulatoryauthority.Followall󰘱uidmanufacturerrecommendations,includingthoseregardinghandling
ofcontaminatedclothing.Afterspraying,washhandsandfacebeforeeatingordrinking.
•Hazardfromexposuretoisocyanatescontinuesafterspraying.Anyonewithoutappropriatepersonal
protectiveequipmentmuststayoutoftheworkareaduringapplicationandafterapplicationforthetime
periodspeci󰘰edbythe󰘱uidmanufacturer.Generallythistimeperiodisatleast24hours.
•Warnotherswhomayenterworkareaofhazardfromexposuretoisocyanates.Followthe
recommendationsofthe󰘱uidmanufacturerandlocalregulatoryauthority.Postingaplacardsuchasthe
followingoutsidetheworkareaisrecommended:
