STARTING AND SHUT OFF
To start unit (Figure 6):
Ensure range selector is in neutral.
1. PTO control must be at “OFF” position.
2. Put key in ignition switch.
3. Move throttle control lever to middle position.
4. If the temperature is 32° F or below, use pre-heater
by turning ignition key to the "Thermo Start Position"
for 15 seconds.
5. Turn Key past “Run” position.
6. Turn ignition key to “Start” position. If engine does not
start in five seconds, release key, wait and then
repeat.
IMPORTANT: Do not keep starter running for over 15
seconds. Once engine has started, release key and it will
return to “Run” position.
7. Move throttle control to slow engine speed.
8. Disengage park brake lock lever.
9. Put range selector in position.
To Shut Off engine (Figure 6):
1. Move Range Selector to “Neutral”.
2. Move Throttle lever to “Slow”.
3. Idle with PTO disengaged for 15 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch to “Off’.
5. Engage the brake lock arm, depress brake pedals,
and engage park lock lever.
6. Remove key before leaving unit.
