1. Loosen the 5/16-24" nut and bolt which fasten cam
lever arm to brake cam.
2. Remove cam lever arm from brake cam. Rotate cam
lever arm one spine to the rear and put it back on
brake cam.
3. Tighten nut and bolt.
4. Repeat above steps if necessary.
BATTERY
Battery Electrolyte First Aid
Follow First Aid directions for contact with battery fluid.
• External Contact: Flush with water.
• Eyes: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes and get
medical attention immediately!
• Internal Contact: Drink large quantities of water. Follow with
Milk of Magnesia, beaten egg or vegetable oil. Get medical
attention immediately!
IMPORTANT: In case of internal contact, DO NOT
induce vomiting!
Charging
ALWAYS follow information provided on battery by
battery manufacturer. Contact battery manufacturer for
extensive instructions to charge battery.
Place unit on a level surface, and shut off engine and
open battery box cover to gain access to battery
(Figure 15).
To charge battery:
1. Disconnect negative (–) cable first, then positive (+)
cable.
2. Remove hold down bracket by removing fastening
hardware from both sides and then remove battery.
3. Place Battery on bench or other well ventilated place
where electrolyte spill will not create damage.
4. Remove caps and fill each cell to level indicated with
electrolyte that is 1.265 specific gravity at eighty
degrees Fahrenheit.
5. Let battery stand for one half hour.
6. Check electrolyte level and add more if necessary.
7. Connect positive (+) lead of charger to positive (+)
terminal, and negative (–) lead to negative (–)
terminal.
WARNING
EXPLOSIVE GASES can result in death or serious
injury. ALWAYS keep open flames, sparks, or smoking
materials away from battery.
Battery Fluid contains sulfuric acid which is poison.
Fluid contact can result in severe chemical burns.
DO NOT tip any battery beyond a 45° angle in any
direction. ALWAYS wear safety glasses and protective
gear.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
WARNING
Battery posts, terminals and related accessories
contain lead and lead compounds, chemicals known to
the State of California to c
ause cancer and reproductive harm. Wash hands after
handling.
CAUTION
ELECTRIC SHOCK may result in injury and/or
damage to unit.
DO NOT allow objects to come into contact with both
terminals at same time.
REVERSE CONNECTIONS may result in sparks
which may result in injury. ALWAYS connect and
disconnect cables in proper order.
