2.3 Malfunction Treatment
Note: In malfunction treatment, several kinds of causes and troubleshooting methods are
provided. If the malfunction cannot be solved, please contact relevant professionals from Gree.
Malfunction

CAN RX light of Modbus
Gateway(Pro) is not bright
Modbus Gateway(Pro) hasn’t received
the data from air conditioner
Matched resistance in
each node of CAN bus
hasn’t been set correctly
Check if the matched
resistance of CAN
bus is set correctly
according to DIP
setting in “Hardware
Debugging”
Communication cable
between gateway and air
conditioner is wrong or the
communication wire is not
put through
Check the conductivity of
communication cable;
check if the communication
connection between
Modbus Gateway(Pro) and
air conditioner is correct by
referring to “3.2
Communication
Connection”
Communication
distance of CAN bus
exceeds 500m
Reduce the
communication
distance of CAN bus
to 500m; it is
suggested to install
Modbus
Gateway(Pro) near
the air conditioner
