8.8.8 PROFIBUS-DP (option)
PROFIBUS DP communication is realised via a gateway to transfer
data from “MODBUS TCP Client” to “PROFIBUS Slave”. This
enables customers to change all PROFIBUS parameters.
Each device in a PROFIBUS DP network is associated with a
Generic Station Description file (GSD file), which describes the
implementation of the product. The GSD file is used by the network
configuration tool to configure the network.
The current version of the GSD file for the "Anybus" gateway can be
downloaded from the HMS website on:
http://www.anybus.com
Use the file „HMSA1837“.
To enable PROFIBUS DP communication, the MODBUS TCP must
be selected.
Parameter settings
Remote IP address: 0.0.0.0 = any client
Remote Port: 0 = any
Local Port: 502
Interface data
Features:
Automatic baud rate detection up to 12 Mbit/s
No proprietary configuration software is needed. All necessary
configuration is made via the built-in web interface.
