Auto-Range
Background
The Auto-Range function works similarly to the
Autoset function, except the Auto-Range function
works continuously when it is on. The Auto-Range
function will continuously monitor the input
signal and adjust the horizontal and vertical scale
of a displayed signal so that waveform(s) are
displayed at the best possible scale.
In addition, the Auto-Range function can also be
configured to only adjust the vertical or horizontal
scale.
There are two operating modes for the Auto-Range
function: Fit Screen Mode and AC Priority Mode.
Fit Screen Mode will fit the waveform to the best
scale, including any DC components (offset). AC
priority mode will scale the waveform to the
screen removing any DC component.
Panel Operation
1. After a signal has already
been triggered, press the
Auto-Range key. The Auto-
Range key lights up.
