Run/Stop
Background
By default, the waveform on the display is
constantly updated (Run mode). Freezing the
waveform by stopping signal acquisition (Stop
mode) allows flexible observation and analysis. To
enter Stop mode, two methods are available:
pressing the Run/Stop key or using the Single
Trigger mode.

When in Stop mode, the Stop icon
appears at the top of the display.

Press the Run/Stop key once.
The waveform and signal
acquisition freezes. To
unfreeze, press the Run/Stop
key again.

by Single Trigger
Mode
In the Single Trigger mode, the
waveform always stays in the
Stop mode, and is updated
only when the Single key is
pressed. When the single key is
pressed, the Run/Stop key
turns red. For details, see page

Operation
The waveform can be moved or scaled in both Run
and Stop mode, but in different manners. For
details, see page 111 (Horizontal position/scale)
and page 116 (Vertical position/scale).
