7.8 Electrode maintenance
C A U T I O N
Burn hazard. Turn off power and allow the instrument to cool before this procedure.
To refill the electrode inner fill solution or replace the lanthanum crystal tip, refer to the electrode kit
(5744800).
7.9 Clean the instrument
Clean the exterior of the instrument with a moist cloth and a mild soap solution and then wipe the
instrument dry as necessary.
7.9.1 Clean the instrument interior
C A U T I O N
Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the personal protective
equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to the current safety data sheets
(MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
Refer to the MSDS for instructions to safely clean reagent spills and leaks. Obey all local and federal
regulations to dispose of cleaning materials.
