crossoverpointusedforthatspeakergroupForthe
firstpassthroughthemenu,leavetheseltingatits
ddaultoptionof SI Z E, andthenproceedasout-
linedbelowOncethespeakerchoiceshavebeenset
youmaywishtoreturnto thislinetochangethe
optionsothatthecrossoversettingsmaybeadjusted
Beginthespeakerselupprocessbymakingcertainthat
thecursorispointingtowardtheL EF T/R I GHT
line,whichsetstheconfigurationforthefrontleftand
rightspeakersIfyouwishtomakeachangetothe
frontspeakers'configuration,pressthe_/1_Buttons
qi_t'_l_ sothateitherLARGE or SMALL
appears,matchingtheappropriatedescriptionfromthe
definitionsshownabove
WhenSMAL L isselected,lowfrequencysoundswill
besentonlyto thesubwooferoutputIfyouchoosethis
optionandthereis nosubwooferconnected,pu will
nolhearanylowfrequencysoundsfromthefront
channels
WhenLARGE isselected,a flJllrangeoutputwillbe
sentto thefrontleftandfrontrightoutputs,Depending
onthechoicemadeintheSUBWOOFER linein
thismenu,bassinformationmayalsobedirectedto the
frontleft/rightspeakers,a subwooferor both
NOTE:Whenthefrontspeakersaresettothe
LARGE optionandthesurroundmodeis setto

movethecursorto CENTER

selecttheoptionthatbestdescribesyoursystem,basedon
thespeakerddinitionsshownbelow
WhenSMALL is selected,low%quencycenter
channelsoundswillbesentonlytothesubwoderout-
put,Ifyouchoosethisoptionandthereisnosubwoofer
connected,youwillnothearlow%quencysoundsfrom
thecenterchannel
WhenLARGE isselected,a fullrangeoutputwillbe
senttothecenterspeakeroutput,andNOcenter
channelsignalwillbesenttothesubwooferoutput
NOTE:IfyouchooseLogic7 asthesurroundmode
fortheparficularinputsourcef(_rwhichyouarecon-
figuringyourspeakers,theAVR525 willnotmakethe
LARGEoptionavailableforthecenterspeakerfhisis
dueto therequirementsof Logic7 processing,and
doesnotindicatea problemwithyourreceiver
WhenNONE isselected,nosignalswillbesentto
thecenterchanneloutputlhe receiverwilloperatein
a "phantom"centerchannelmodeandcenterchannel
informationwillbesentto theleftandrightfrontchan-
neloutputsWhenonlyfrontleftandrightspeakersare
used,withnocenterorsurroundspeakers,VMAxisa
goodalternativemode

channelswillnotbeusedWhenthisisthecasefor
yoursystemyoumaywishto takeadvantageof the
