E. Draft Test Procedure
Because of the dangers associated with coal gases and
thepotentialforcarbonmonoxiderelease,Itisimportantto
balancetheairowintothestovewiththedraftintheue.
Thecombustionblowerhasarestrictorplateattachedtoit,
whichmustbeadjusteduponcompletionoftheinstallation.
The barometric damper, if installed, must also be set to
preventover-draftingintheappliance.Followthesestepsto
ensuresafeandefcientoperationofyourSuperMagnum
coalstokerstove.

• Drillaholeintotheueconnectorpipe,forthepurpose
ofattachingadraftmeter.Thisholeshouldbebetween
thebarometricdamperandthestove'suecollar,andin
aninconspicuous location, as itwill be closed off after
thetestwithabolt.
• Attachthedraftmetertotheholeintheconnector.Agreat
chimneywillhavedraftwithoutareorheatsource.Set
thebarometricdampertomaintain-.06to-.08(inchesof
watercolumn).
• Removethedraftmeterfromtheconnectorpipeandseal
theholebythreadinginascreworbolt.Youmayalso
wanttoapplyasmalldabofhigh-temperaturesiliconeto
the threads prior to installing.
• Next,removetheset-screwplugboltfromthefrontofthe
SuperMagnumbody.Thisplugislocatedinthecenter,
justbelowthetoploaddoor.Attachthedraftmeterhose
to the stove.
• Turn thefeedadjuster knob to "Test".This willrun the
combustion blower at its highest possible voltage or
speed.
• Closetherestrictorovertheopeningtothecombustion
bloweruntilthedraftreadinginthereboxtsthe-.03to
-.04range.Thiswillensurethatthecombustionblower
willneverpushmoreairintothereboxthanthedraftin
theueiscapableofremoving.
• Disconnectthedraftmeterfromthestoveandre-install
thesetscrewplugbolt.
