8. Chimney Connector

of chimney connector pipe. Some owners remove the
chimneyconnectorfortheoffseason.Anycoalashesleft
in the connector pipe will actually draw moisture which
promotesrust.Thisiswhyitisveryimportanttoclean all
ashes at the end of the heating season.

The entire chimney should be professionally cleaned at
leastonceyearly.Itisbesttohavethisdoneattheendof
theheatingseasontobesureallashisremoved.You'llalso
wanttoinspecttheconditionofthechimneypriortousing
theappliance,tobesuretherearenobirdnestsorthelike.
D. Motors and Components
1. Feed Motor
Requiresnolubrication.
Keepthemotorwindingsfreeofdust.Canbewipedclean
orvacuumed.
Toremovefeedmotor;
• Removerearaccesspanelandopenleftreardoor.
• Removefeedshaftshieldbypushingwiththumbwhere
shown,andliftupwhilepullingout.

2. Combustion Blower
Requiresnolubrication.
Keepthemotorwindingsandintakescreenfreeofdustand
pethair.Canbewipedcleanorvacuumed.
Toremovecombustionblower;
• Openleftreardoor.
• Removewire-tiefromblowerpowercord.
• Slide the blower mounting ange out of the bracket
toward the left side.
NOTICE: When re-installing blower, be sure it is slid
completelyintothemountingbracket.Thereisastoponthe
rightsideofthebrackettoensureproperpositioning.

• LocatetheAllen-headsetscrewonthefeedmotorshaft
and loosen it.
• Removethe4motormountingscrewsandpullthemotor
outthroughtheleft,reardoor.
