Opentheashremovaldoor by liftingupwardonthelatch
handle,thenswingthedooropen.Pulltheashpanoutof
therebox,usingtheliponthefrontofthepan.Oncethe
ashpanisremovedfromthestove,youcanipthecarry
handle up for convenience.
Ashes must be placed in a metal container with a tight
disposal. If the ashes are disposed of by burial in soil or
otherwise locally dispersed, they should be retained in
the closed container until all cinders have thoroughly
cooled. Do not use the ash container for other debris
or yard waste.
Removethehopperlidandset aside.Graspthecleaning
scraperknobandpullittowardthebackofthehopper.Push
theknobbackin,towardthefrontofthehopper,andrepeat
afewtimes.Thismotiondragsachainacrosseachofthe
heat exchange surfaces, and will knock any loose ashes
down into the ash pan.
