Filter replacement is recommended every month. Follow
thestepsbelowtoremovethelter.
Turn the mode selector to "OFF" to stop the blower 
from operating.
• Locateandloosenthetwothumbscrewsthatholdthe
lterretainerinplace.
• Slidethelterretainerdownwardandremoveit.
• Withtheretainerplateremoved,slidethelterstraight
outthroughthefrontofthestove.Filtersizeis16X16

6. Hopper

Whenever the hopper is low or empty, take the time to
inspect the hopper throat area for any larger pieces of coal 
orforeignobjects.Thisisalsoagoodtimetovacuumany
coalresidueordustfromthehopper.
Remember to empty and clean the hopper at the end of
the burn season or whenever the stove is not going to
be operated fora few days.This will help to prevent rust
formationinthehopperandfeedsystem.
7. Firebox
 Frequency:Asnecessary/Yearly

Cleaningthereboxandinternalheatexchangesurfacesis
recommendedtomaintainthermalefciency.Dependingon
thequalityandquantityofcoalbeingused,youmaywantto
performthiscleaningmonthly.
Be sure to clean these areas thoroughly at the end of the 
heating season.
Brushandvacuumallinternalsurfaces.Liftthegratesand
thoroughly clean the air ow area under the grates. (See
drawingbelow).
Thiscrosssectionalcut-awayillustrationshowsaninternalviewofthe
heatexchange,plusyoucanalsoseehowthegratesareremovedby
liftingthemoutoftheframe.
