2.1 Battery and Battery Charger
2.1.1 Transmitter Battery BA2250_0
The battery capacity depends on the age of the battery and the ambient temperature.
Older batteries lose their capacity over time. The battery capacity diminishes more
quickly at temperatures below 0 °C (32 °F) and above 40 °C (104 °F).
Please note that the battery
Ø must be charged before initial use.
Ø only reaches its full capacity after approx. 5 charging cycles.
Ø must be charged at an ambient temperature of 0 – 40 °C (32 – 104 °F) in order to
reach full capacity.
When handled properly the battery can exceed 500 charging cycles:
Ø Recharge the battery only when it is empty, i.e. when the red display on the
transmitter blinks and the acoustic signal sounds.
Ø Always store rechargeable batteries at room temperature.
Ø Protect the battery from short circuits and always store it in the protective cover
provided.
Ø Charge the battery fully before storing it for a prolonged period. Otherwise total
discharge may occur.
