5.3 Deposits
Dust, dirt and other foreign matter must not be allowed to accumulate
sufficiently to divert some of the measuring force around the force transducer,
thus invalidating the measured value. (Force shunt). The relevant areas are
marked in Fig. 5.1.
Fig. 5.1 Deposits must not be allowed to form on the finely hatched area, as this
could cause a force shunt.
