Canada Fre Ratings
G Content appropriate for all ages. Little or no violence or sexual content.
8ans+ Content appropriate for children over the age of 8. May contain little violence, some
foul language and little or no sexual content.
13ans+ Content appropriate for teenagers over the age of 13. May contain moderate violence,
language and some sexual situations. Children under the age of 13 should be
accompanied by an adult.
16ans+ Content appropriate for teenagers over the age of 16. May contain strong violence,
language and sexual content.
18ans+ Content for adults over the age of 18 only. May contain extreme violence, graphic
sexual content and pornography.
EXEMPT Exempt programming. No rating will appear on screen.
Setup
1. Enter the setup menu. (FUNCTION – 0 – 9999 – SETUP).
2. Go to the LOCK MENU
3. Enter password. Default password is “9999”.
4. Select CHANGE PASSWORD if you wish to change the password. Follow the on-screen prompts to
change the password.
5. Select US or Canada and press the right arrow button.
6. For US ratings select TV or MPAA and press the right arrow button.
A. For TV select the lowest TV RATING you wish to block. Press the “ENTER” button. The selected
rating and all higher rating will be blocked. To unblock a rating, select the blocked rating and
press the “ENTER” button.
B. For MPAA, press the up arrow button to lock each rating you want blocked. Press the down
arrow button to un-block the rating.

For Canadian ratings, select Canada Eng or Canada French. Press the right arrow button.
A. Press the up arrow button to lock each rating you want blocked. Press the down arrow button to
un-block the rating.
8.
Press the “SETUP” button to exit.
