f. In the event of cell leakage, contact with the skin or eyes should be avoided. If
affected, wash the affected areas with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
g. Recharging only with the charger specified by the manufacturer.
h. The plus (+) and minus (-) markings on the battery and device should be identified
and used correctly.
i. Only use the battery-packs and batteries specified for this purpose.
j. The device mustn‘t combine items of a different brand, capacity, size or type.
k. Children shouldn‘t use battery-packs or batteries unless under adult supervision.
l. If a cell or battery is swallowed, you should seek medical attention immediately.
m. Always purchase batteries that are recommended by the device manufacturer.
n. Keep battery-packs or batteries and cells clean and dry.
o. If cells or battery terminals become dirty, they should be cleaned with a clean, dry
cloth.
p. Battery-packs and batteries must be charged before use. Always use the correct
charger and follow the manufacturer's instructions or operating instructions.
q. Don‘t charge the battery-pack or battery for a long periods when not in use.
r. After prolonged storage, it may be better to recharge and discharge the battery-
pack or battery several times to maximise battery performance.
s. The original battery-pack and battery documentation should be retained for future
use.
t. Rechargeable battery-packs or batteries should only be used for purposes for which
they are intended.
u. When not in use, battery-packs or batteries should be removed, if at all possible.
v. Disposal of battery-packs and batteries must be carried out in accordance with
applicable regulations. Dead batteries do not belong in household waste.
DEVICE-SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not use the device near other people - especially children - and pets. Stop working, while
remaining in the vicinity. At all times, allow the safety distance around 15 m. There is the risk
of throwing off stones and gravel, which can cause injury.
• Walk, never run.
• The device is designed for two-handed operation. Thumb and fingers must firmly hold
the handle. Never work with one hand. At work, always use the shoulder strap.
• Make sure that the cutting mechanism does not come into contact with stones, gravel, wire
or other foreign objects when starting and during the work.
• Beware of line cutter. It can cause severe injuries.

Never attempt to stop the cutting mechanism with hand. Always wait until it stops
itself. The cutting mechanism continues to rotate after engine is switched off for
a few seconds.
• Use only the original cutting line. Using metal line instead plastic is prohibited.
• Do not use the device for trimming grass, which is not present on the ground, eg. grass,
which grows on the walls, rocks, etc.
• Do not walk with the device turned on through the gravel road or path.
• Ensure that ventilation holes are not clogged.
