4. Repeat on the other side
STEERING COLUMN INSTALLATION (FIG. 4)
1. Position the steering column (18) on the machine body and align the holes.
2. Fit hexagon screws on both sides with spring washers and flat washers.
HANDLEBAR INSTALLATION (FIG. 5)
1. Position the left part of the handlebar tube
(FIG. 5)
(19) on the steering column and secure
it with two hexagon screws with washers.
2. Do the same on the right side (20). (FIG. 5)
3. Place the steering cover (21) on the handlebar tubes and secure it from below with 4 self-
tapping screws (if equipped).
Handlebar height adjustment (FIG. 9)
- Loosen the 4 depth limiter holder screws.
- Adjust the desired height (incline) of the handlebar.
- Tighten the screws.
DEPTH LIMITER (FIG. 7)
1. Insert the depth limiter (5) into the holder and attach it to the rear of the machine body and
secure it with a pin (22). Secure the pin with a cotter pin (23)
BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE
Note: I
All HECHT products equipped with petrol engine are tested to meet the very strict
requirements for the permissible exhaust emission limits. In production plant engines are
tested and adjusted during 8 minutes period. It is therefore possible, that exhausts or other
parts of the engine may appear slight signs of use. Kindly excuse this fact. Without these
settings and tests is not possible put petrol powered products into operation.
FUEL
CAUTION! A
Due to transport, the machine is supplied without engine oil and fuel. For the same
reason, some types of machines are also not filled with gear oil. Before commissioning,
fill with oil and fuel!
THE ENGINE IS CERTIFIED FOR UNLEADED PETROL - E10
Use clean, fresh, unleaded fuel of merchantable quality;
C The machine is equipped with a four-stroke engine and must be operated exclusively
with pure petrol WITHOUT oil!

Petrol is highly flammable and explosive, as well as its fumes. You can be seriously
burned or injured while refilling with petrol.
