STARTING/STOPPING THE MACHINE

Carbon monoxide gas is toxic. Breathing it can cause unco nsciousness and even kill
you. Avoid any areas or actions that expose you to carbon monoxide.
1. Ignition is connected through the cable and the spark plug cap (the rubber boot) with the
spark plug. Check the connection (fig. 13 A).
2. Press the primer bulb (fig. 14 A) 3-5 times before starting the engine. Priming is usually
unnecessary when restarting a warm engine.
3. When starting cold engine, turn throttle lever (fig. 16) to “
” position. When starting
warm engine turn throttle lever to “
” position.
4. Grasp the starter handle (fig. 15 A) and pull gently on the starter handle until it begins to
resist, then pull quickly and forcefully upwards.
C Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return it gently to
prevent damage to the starter.
5. Return the starter handle slowly to the rope guide bolt after engine starts.
6. Operate the engine in the
position (operating speed).
The machine cannot be tilt. Danger of flooding the engine by oil. Exceptional is the
change of oil. If you need to tilt the machine during maintenance or adjusting, press
the handles to the ground.

Keep your hands and feet away from the blades, especially when starting
the machine!
IDDLE SPEED
Set throttle control lever to its “Min. speed” position to reduce stress on the engine when tilling
is notbeing performed. Lowering the engine speed to idle the engine will help extend the life of
the engine, as well as conserve fuel and reduce the noise level of the machine.
