1. Remove the fuel filler cap (Fig. 16 A).
2. Fill petrol to maximum of one cm below the lower edge of the neck.
3. Don’t overfill! Before starting the engine, wipe the spilled petrol.
4. All closures of the tank and bulk containers needs to be refitted and tightened.
Make sure that water and dirt doesn’t get into the fuel tank.
Note: I
Fuel can damage paint and some types of plastics. When topping up the fuel tank,
be careful and try not spill any petrol. Damages caused by spilling fuel are not covered by
the warranty.
MOTOR OIL
• This engine is delivered without oil, be sure to put oil in the engine before
the starting. Top-up the recommended oil type before first use.
• Only use the recommended types of engine oils with the appropriate performance
class.
(The recommended oil type is given in the Specifications)
• DO NOT MIX DIFFERENT OILS!
• Improper refilling or low oil levels can lead to irreparable engine damage.
CHECKING AND TOPPING-UP THE OIL
C Check the oil level only when the engine is off and cool. The machine must stand
level.
1. Remove the oil filler cap / dipstick (Fig. 18 A) and dry it thoroughly.
2. Pull the plug of the oil filler cap/dipstick fully into the oil filler neck, but screw it. Then
remove it. After pulling out, read the oil level dipstick.
3. If the oil level is near or below the lower limit mark dipstick, remove the oil filler cap /
dipstick and add oil to the engine between the upper and lower mark. Don‘t overfill.
4. Refit the oil filler cap/dipstick.
Change the oils according to the paragraph of MAINTENANCE / OIL CHANGE.
ENGINE PRE-OPERATION CHECK
For your safety, and to maximize the service life of your equipment, it is very important to take
a few moments to check the engine condition before operating. If you have some doubts, don´t
start the machine. Contact our authorized service.
ALWAYS CHECK THE FOLLOWING ITEMS BEFORE YOU START THE ENGINE:
Total control: Make sure there are no leaks, find loose or damaged parts the equipment powered
engine.
- fuel level
- air cleaner (if equipped)
- correct fitting of spark plug end.
- cleanness of controls (switches, handles)
- safety and protective equipment
- device, engine-powered tool.
- Before each use, check the condition of cultivating blades, if damaged, replace them
with new ones.
