What to do if Hemisphere GPS Vector V113 receiver fails to power?
    • A
      Alexandra MillerAug 10, 2025
If your Hemisphere GPS Marine GPS System receiver isn't powering on, take these steps: * Check the polarity of the power lead. * Inspect the power cable connectors for any damage or loose connections. * Confirm the power input voltage is within the acceptable range (6 to 36VDC). * Ensure the power source provides sufficient current (minimum available should be > 1.0 A).

What to do if Hemisphere GPS Vector V113 shows no data from V103/113?
    • K
      Katherine SmithAug 16, 2025
If you're getting no data from the V103/113 on your Hemisphere GPS Marine GPS System, try the following: 1. Verify the receiver is powered on. You can use an ammeter to check this. 2. Make sure the desired messages are activated, using PocketMax3 or the $JSHOW command in a terminal program. 3. Confirm that the baud rate of the V103/113 matches the baud rate of the receiving device. 4. Check the power and data cable connections for integrity and proper connection.

What to do if Hemisphere GPS Marine GPS System gives random data from V103/113?
    • G
      Gregory HartAug 21, 2025
If your Hemisphere GPS Marine GPS System is showing random data from the V103/113, try these solutions: * Verify that RTCM or binary messages are not being output accidentally by sending a $JSHOW command. * Ensure the baud rate of the V103/113 matches that of the remote device. * The volume of data requested from the V103/113 might be too high for the current baud rate. Try using 19200 as the baud rate for all devices or reduce the amount of data being output.

Why Hemisphere GPS Vector V113 Marine GPS System has no GPS lock?
    • K
      kmooreAug 28, 2025
If your Hemisphere GPS Marine GPS System isn't locking onto GPS satellites, make sure that the V103/113 has a clear view of the sky. Also, verify the lock status of GPS satellites, which can be done using PocketMax3.

Why Hemisphere GPS Vector V113 has no SBAS lock?
    • B
      baileydarinSep 3, 2025
If your Hemisphere GPS Marine GPS System is not locking onto SBAS, make sure the V103/113 has a clear view of the sky. Verify the lock status of SBAS satellites using PocketMax3 to monitor the BER value. Set SBAS mode to automatic using the $JWAASPRN,AUTO command. Note that SBAS lock is only possible if you are in an appropriate SBAS region; currently, there is limited SBAS availability in the southern hemisphere.
