Ÿ Throttle-Check for smooth opening and
closing in all steering positions (page 34).
Clean your vehicle regularly. It protects the
surface finish. Avoid cleaning with products
that are not specifically designed for vehicle
surfaces. Inspect your vehicle every day before
you start the engine. The items listed here will
only take a few minutes, and in the long run
they can save time, expense, and possibly your
life. Please follow the tips as given below:
Ÿ Fuel level-Ensure sufficient fuel is available
in the fuel tank for your journey (page 14).
Check for leaks.
Ÿ Tyres-Check condition and pressure
(page 42).
Ÿ Front and rear brake-Check operation.
Adjust free play if necessary (page 37).
PRE-RIDE INSPECTION
Ÿ Clutch-Check for smooth operation.
Adjust free play (page 33).
Ÿ Drive chain-Check condition and
slackness (page 35). Adjust and lubricate if
necessary.
Ÿ Engine oil level-Check and top up engine
oil if required (page 27). Check for leaks.
You should conduct pre ride inspection before
riding the vehicle to enhance riding comfort
and safety.
Ÿ Battery-Check electrolyte level (page
44).
Ÿ Lamps and Horn-Check that headlamp,
tail/stop lamp, turn signal lamps and horn
function properly.
Ÿ Rear view mirror-Ensure that the rear
view mirror gives a good rear view when you
are sitting on the vehicle.
Ÿ Fitting & Fasteners-Check & tighten if
necessary.
Ÿ Steering-Check for smooth action and for
easy maneuverability.
