Clean filters as specified in the maintenance
schedule.
•
Ensure to replace gasket with new one once
removed
NOTE
•
Reinstall the filter screen with the tapered
end facing inwards.
•
Fill the crankcase with clean engine oil as
per specification.
•
Remove centrifugal filter cover (7) & clean
the centrifugal filter (8) with non flammable
or high flash point solvent (kerosene).
•
Reinstall the centrifugal filter cover, right
crankcase cover (with dowel and gasket) &
kick starter pedal, rider foot rest, muffler and
connect the clutch cable.
(a) Air cleaner element inspection
Air cleaner
The air cleaner element is viscous type, it
should be replaced at regular intervals (page
26). Early replacement may be required
when riding in unusually wet or dusty area.
•
Remove the seat (page 19).
•
Remove the air cleaner cover screws (3)
and the cover (4).
•
Remove the left side cover (1) by removing
side cover screws (2).

from air cleaner housing (6).
