•
Remove the seat (pages 19).
•
Remove the battery clamp bolt (1) and
battery clamp (2).
•
Remove the right side cover screws and
remove the side cover.
Battery removal
•
Make sure the ignition switch is “OFF”.
Fuse Type: Blade fuse
Refer to the safety precautions on (page 25).
Main fuse box (A): Location: Mounted on
the battery clamp.
•
Disconnect the negative (-) terminal (5)
lead from the battery first, then disconnect
the positive (+) terminal lead (6).
•
Pullout the battery from the battery box .
Battery installation
•
Reinstall in the reverse order of removal. Be
sure to connect the positive (+)ve terminal
first, then the negative (-)ve terminal.
•
Check all bolts and other fasteners are
secured.
Fuse replacement
•
Pull the battery (3) out slightly and remove
the battery terminal case cover (4).
(1) In circuit fuse: 15A & 10A
(2) Spare fuse: 15A & 10A

Starter Magnetic Switch (B)
Location: Below starter magnetic switch.
