Inspection

Check the wear indicator marks (1) on
each pad.

Visit your Authorised Distributor/Dealer for
the brake pad replacement.
•
Check the brake pads for wear by examining
the wear limit grooves on each pad.
•
Replace the pads if worn out to the bottom
of the grooves.
•
Always replace both the pads as a set.

!!
Always apply front and rear brakes
simultaneously to avoid skidding of vehicle.
•
Measure the distance of front brake lever
(1) moves before the brakes starts to take
hold. Free play (2) should be 10-20 mm
at the tip of the brake lever.
Adjustment
(b) Front brake inspection (Drum type)
•
Park the vehicle on its main stand.

Make sure the cut-out on the adjusting nut
is seated on the brake joint pin (4) after
making final free play adjustment.
•
Make free play adjustment by turning the
adjusting nut (3).

Apply the brake several times and check for
free wheel rotation when released.
