Preface
This manual was written for users of the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (Hexagon in the rest of this
manual) GLOBAL S measuring machines.
The document provides a general description of the measuring machine and its main technical and design
features. The manual also contains instructions on how to use and maintain the measuring machine safely.
In addition to the measuring machine with its accessories (for example, heads and tools), a measuring
system consists of a control system and measuring software. For information about these components,
consult the user manuals of the products used.
