The program is set to trigger when the signal level drops to 10%. If you want to change these settings, go to
the "Advanced Mode" menu. After that, there will be more options in the "Theft alarm" window:
• Proximity level is the distance between two Bluetooth devices. It is defined as a percentage ranging
from 0 to 100, where 100 is the best signal and 0 is a connection loss.
• Latency is the time delay before triggering. It is used along with “Proximity level” and helps to avoid
false alarms caused by temporary fluctuations in signal strength. The action to take when the signal
drops below the threshold level is not made until the time passes (Latency).
Note: Using audio signals on the key fob can significantly drain the battery, so this option is disabled by
default.
9.7.1. Track by Sound
If the key fob has an active connection, but you cannot find it, you can turn on its audible signal:
9.7.2. Track by RSSI
The “Search” option in the context menu of the key fob shows the graph of the strength of the signal level.
The bottom of graph shows the minimal distance between the phone and Hideez Key. By moving around with
the phone and noticing where the signal is strongest you can locate the key fob.
