7.10 Face Counting
The function is used to count the customer traffic at specific scenes, such as supermarkets, shops,
etc.
Before You Start
Configure at least one engine usage as Facial Recognition. Refer to Engine Configuration for
details.
Steps
1. Go to Configuration → VCA → Face Counting → Counting Group via web browser.

2. Click Add to add a group. A group can contain several cameras in the same scene.
3. Set group parameters.
Deduplication Interval
If a person appears several times within one deduplication interval, the frequency will be
counted as one. Otherwise, the frequency will be counted as several times.
Deduplication Similarity
If several similar face pictures are captured in the scene, the device would regard the face
pictures as the same person when the similarity of these face pictures reaches the threshold.
Report Time Interval
The device will automatically report the counting data to the platform according to the time
interval.
Daily Reset Time
