6 Installation
The device was developed for practical application in a harsh industrial
environment.
On delivery, the device is ready for operation.
To install the device, perform the following work steps:
Checking the package contents
Installing an SFP transceiver (optional)
“Mounting a cover panel”
“Mounting a media module”
Installing the device
Grounding the device
“Connecting the signal contact (optional)”
Connecting the supply voltage
Connecting the PoE supply voltage to the M1-8TP-RJ45 PoE media
module (optional)
Connecting data cables
Filling out the inscription label
Note: Note the safety instructions in “Requirements for connecting electrical
wires” on page 12.
6.1 Checking the package contents
Check whether the package includes all items named in the section
“Scope of delivery” on page 75.
Check the individual parts for transport damage.
