2.1.11 Connecting the data lines
The ports of the device enable you to connect terminal devices or further
network segments via twisted pair or F/O cable.
U 10/100 Mbit/s twisted pair connection
10/100 Mbit/s ports (RJ45 sockets) enable the connection of terminal
devices or independent network segments in compliance with the IEEE
802.3 100BASE-TX / 10BASE-T standards. These ports support:
D autonegotiation
D autopolarity
D autocrossing (when autonegotiation is switched on)
D 100 Mbit/s half duplex mode, 100 Mbit/s full duplex mode
D 10 Mbit/s half duplex mode, 10 Mbit/s full duplex mode
State on delivery: autonegotiation is activated with exception of the
HIPER-Ring ports: 100 Mbit/s full duplex.
The socket housings are electrically connected to the front covering.

1000 Mbit/s twisted pair connection 1000 MBit/s twisted pair ports (RJ45
sockets) enable the connection of terminal devices or independent net
-
work segments in compliance with the IEEE 802-3, 2000 Edition
1000BASE-T standard.
These ports support:
