4.1 System selection procedure
The following procedure gives an example of selection of YUTAKI S80 system based on a series of previously dened
installation requirements: heating load required, operating temperatures and special characteristics on the installation (en-
ergy system used, power source, etc.).
4.1.1 Selection parameters
To calculate the YUTAKI S80 units, it will be necessary to consult and/or use a series of parameters shown in tables and
graphics presented in the different chapters of this catalogue. A summarized list is shown below:
Available models
General information of the units
Operation space possibilities
Working range
Different possible energy systems
Maximum heating capacities
COP
Different correction factors
Sound data for the different units
4.1.2 Selection procedure
The system selection procedure is as follows:
Firstly, the system combination (outdoor unit + indoor unit) is pre-selected according to the design conditions. Then, the
theoretical capacity values taken from the different maximum heating capacity tables are corrected by means of the cor-
rection factors explained in the following pages, resulting in the actual capacity which will provide the selected system. The
DHW tank will be selected depending on the daily water needs.
Installation congurations
YUTAKI S80 allows many conguration possibilities which are detailed on chapter Installation congurations.
Then, the three main types of conguration are described briey and are taken into account in the selection procedure in
order to provide the best solution for the heating requirements.
Before proceeding with the selection calculation, rst the system type to design has to be established: Mono-valent, Mono-
energy, or Alternating Bi-valent. These main energy systems with their capacity-time charts are shown below.
