7.1 Safety instructions
The installation of electrical devices in HOBBY's motor homes
has been carried out in accordance with the valid regulations

7.2 Elements of the electrical system
• Donotremovethesignsonelectricalcomponentsgiving
safety instructions or danger warnings.
• Donotusetheinstallationcompartmentsforthemotor
homebattery,on-boardcontrolpanel,batterycharger
and 230 V connector box as additional storage room.
• Smokingandnakedameareforbiddenwhenchecking
electricalequipment.
• Onlyauthorisedandexperiencedworkshopsmaycarry
outelectricalrepairs.
• Inexperthandlingofthevehicle‘selectricalsystemmay
endanger your own life as well as that of others.
• Toconnecttoanexternal230Vmainsconnection,
useonlyaweather-proof,3-wireextensioncordwith
aCEEplugandconnector.
Advice and instructions
Important
• Anychangestotheelectricalinstallationsmayonlybecarried
outbyaprofessionalelectrician.
• Disconnectthebatteryandswitchothe230Vmainsbefore
carryingoutanymaintenancework.
Batteries
•
Pleaseobservethebatterymanufacturer’soperatinginstructions.
• Theacidinthebatteryispoisonousandcorrosive.Avoid
contactwitheyesandskin.
• Thecompletelydischargedbatterymustberechargedforat
least 10 hours. The battery may be damaged if it has been
dischargedformorethan8weeks.
• Avoidtotaldischargesincethissignicantlyreducestheperfor-
mancecapacityandservicelifeofthebatteries.
• Checkthelevelofthebatteryuidregularly(acidbatteries);
AGM-batteriesrequirenomaintenance,butmustbecontinuo-
usly recharged.
• Checkthattheclampshavebeenproperlyttedand,ifneces-
sary, remove any layers of oxide.
