•Cleantheinteriorofyourmotorhome.Hoovercarpets,
cushionsandmattresses.Ifpossible,storethemoutsidethe
mobilehome.Otherwise,placetheminsuchawayinside
thevehiclethattheydonotcomeintocontactwithconden-
sation.
•Usesoapywatertocleanlinoleumandsmoothsurfaces.
•Emptyandcleantherefrigerator.Leavetherefrigerator
doorintheventilationposition(see10.6).
•Aftercleaningthem,leavestowagespaces,cupboards,
drawersandfurnitureapsopentofacilitateaircirculation.
•Leaveventsforforcedventilationopen.Ifthemobilehome
iskeptinaclosedspace,youcanleavetheskylightopen.
•Airthemobilehomethoroughlyeveryfourtosixweeks
whentheweatherisdry.
•Setupadehumidier(suchassalt)insidethemotorhome
anddrythegranulateorchangeitregularly.
• Openthebattery'scircuitbreaker.
• Ifnecessary,heatthecampertopreventthebuild-upof
mould from condensation.
• Switchothe12Vmainswitch.

• Checkthevehiclefordamagetothepaintworkorfrom
rustand,ifnecessary,repairit.
• Ensurethatwatercannotrunintotheventilationandde-
aeratingandheatingsystems.
• Useawax-basedprotectiveagenttoprotectthemetal
partsoftheundercarriageagainstrust.
• Preservevarnishedexternalsurfaceswithsuitableagents.
• Fillthepetroltankwithwinterdiesel;checktheantifreezer
inthewindshieldcleaningunitandthecoolant.
The following applies for ventilation:
Duringoperationinwinter,condensationiscausedwhen
usingthecamperinlowtemperatures.Sucientventilationis
extremelyimportanttoensurethatthequalityoftheairinside
thecamperisgoodandtoavoiddamagestothevehicle
causedbycondensation.
12.7 Winter Operation
Preparations

acertainextentinwinter.Ifyoureallywishtocampinwinter,
werecommendthatyouoptimizeyourmotorhometomeet
yourpersonalrequirements.Yourdealerwillbepleasedto
