3.3 Loading
3.3.1 General information
Rules for loading:
• Spreadtheloadevenlybetweentheleftandright-hand
side of the van. Heavy or bulky objects belong in the lower
storage compartments and near the axle.
• Neveroverloadtherearofthevan,becausethiswillhavea
negativeinuenceonitsdrivingperformance.
• Thelowerthevan'scentreofgravity,thebetteritsdriving
performance and response in curves.
• Storebaggageintheinteriorincupboardsandstorage
compartments.
• Heavyobjectsshouldbestowedsecurelytoprevent
them from slipping.
• Lighterobjects(clothing)shouldbestowedinthewall
cupboards.
• Securedoorsandaps.
• Checkthetechnicallypermissiblemaximumweightand
theaxleload(s)afteryouhavenishedloading.
• Slattedframes,Securemattresses,crossbeamsand,if
necessary, the bed expansion if these are in a transport
position.
