The maximum permissible loads for bicycle carriers are 60 kg.
• Ensure that the existing lighting equipment is not
completely or partially obscured by any loads.
5.4 Bicycle carrier *
The van’s handling when driving is signicantly dierent when
the bicycle carrier is in use. The driving speed should be adju-
sted accordingly to take this into consideration:
• The driver is responsible for the secure fastening of the
bicycles. Even when unloaded and folded up the carrier
must be secured using the clips

Please read the separate operating instructions for the
bicycle carrier before using it.
If the rear-mounted bicycle carrier is not required, it must be
folded up and secured. To do this, use the clip

and the sepa-
rate fastenings included in the accessory kit.
When driving with bicycles, the bicycle carrier must be unfolded
and the straps

must be rmly lashed. The front and back
wheels of each bicycle must be rmly lashed using the straps
k
. The fastenings included in the accessory kit are used for
the frame.
When opening the rear doors by 180° (see p. 38 Rear
doors) the van may be damaged by the bicycle carrier.
