Tha valve seat contact should be
within
the speci-
fied
width
and even all around the circumference.

NOTE
:
When the service
limits
are exceeded, replace
the
intake valve and recheck
the
valve
seat
width.
If
the
seat
width
is not
within
specification, refaee
the
valve seat (page 8-20).
Inspect
the
valve seat face for:
Uneven seat
width
:
- Replace
the
valve and refaee
the
valve
seat.
Damaged face:
- Replace the valve and refaee
the
valve seat.
The valves cannOI Contact area
(too
high
or
100
low

be
ground.
If
a - Refaea the valve seal.

burned
or
badly worn
or

comacts
the
seat
unevenly, rep/ace
the
valve
